Twistlock Dynamics Steel Corner Castings

An obvious addition to our product range is steel casting used for shipping container casters, as we already master the process of producing steel castings. We’ve designed and developed corner castings for shipping containers. Not just corner castings, but these steel shipping container corner castings are produced according to the ISO 1161:2016 standard.

Corner castings are used as corner connections in shipping containers. They are suitable for building a container, replacing an existing corner, or for use in custom-designed constructions. Also, these corner castings also make a perfect fit with our range of shipping container casters!

The corner castings are compatible with shipping container wheels, twistlocks, stackers, and bridge fittings. The blocks are made from heavy-duty cast steel and are coated with a rust-resistant primer. The corner castings can be safely welded.

Material and Coating: Made from high-quality cast steel, each casting is coated with a primer for resistance to harsh weather conditions.

Design and Functionality: The corner castings are designed for secure and stable connections, enabling containers to be easily stacked and transported.

Cast steel components in a shipping container

One of the services we offer is the manufacturing of steel castings. We have experience in casting complex structures and have the capability of providing customized solutions. Some parts of the shipping container caster we produce are made of cast iron or cast steel. The wheel centers, for example, are made of cast iron. With the high-quality polyurethane poured around the wheel centers, the wheel’s structure is produced. Additionally, the twistlock mechanism placed on top of the housings is made out of cast steel. In this article, we write more about our steel casting capabilities.

Cast Steel Components in a Shipping Container:

The amount of different steel casting

The number of cast steel components in a shipping container depends on its design and type. For standard 20-foot or 40-foot ISO shipping containers, the most essential cast steel parts are corner castings. These critical components provide structural strength, ensure safe stacking, and facilitate secure handling.

For modified or custom containers, the configuration of cast steel parts can vary to meet specific design and functionality requirements. Whatever your container needs, our high-quality corner castings are built to meet ISO standards and ensure reliable performance.

Corner Castings

  • Each container typically uses 8 corner castings (one at each corner of the container).
  • These components are crucial for structural strength, stacking, and handling during transport.

Locking Mechanisms

  • In some cases, locking components or fittings (such as twist-locks) are made from cast steel, though these are not always directly integrated into the container itself.
